Inauguration of National Research Center

The Inauguration Function of the Gemmological Institute of India was held on 12th October 2005 at the Y.B. Chavan Auditorium, Mumbai.

The function was graced by the top leaders of the Indian Gem & Jewellery Industry.

At the function, The National Research Centre and The Educational Centre were inaugurated through the hands of Shri S. N. Menon, IAS, Commerce Secretary, Ministry of Commerce, Government of India and Shri R. M. Premkumar, IAS, Chief Secretary, Government of Maharashtra respectively.

The function was concluded with the distribution of the completion certificates to successful students and the Awards of excellence for outstanding academic achievements.
