6th November
to 12th November, 2005
Dear Member,
We are happy to invite you to the 7th
Indian Gemmological Seminar (IGS-7/2005) to be held at Darjeeling
& Gangtok (Sikkim) from 6th
November to 12th November, 2005.
This most important annual event in the field of Gemmology in India, the IGS
2005 will be held at Sterling Resort, Darjeeling for 3 nights and 3 days followed
by a Post Conference programme at Gangtok (Sikkim ) for 3 nights and 4 days.
(Total of 6 nights and 7 days).
As you are aware of the fact that at the Khajuraho conference
in 2004, members have unanimously selected the venue for the 7th
IGS as Darjeeling and Gangtok
(Sikkim), the most panoramic and picturesque tourist destination
in India. Gangtok, Darjeeling and Jalpaiguri are situated as on triangle which
is equidistant to each other.
The 7th IGS is not only a conference of Gemmologists, it
would be a pilgrimage to a most scenic and wonderful land of Natural Beauty.
Believe it or not, it would be an out of the world experience for all the
gemmologists to be one with the nature, and to imbibe the science of gemstones.
Therefore you cannot say no to this golden chance and if you miss this conference
it would be a great loss of an opportunity in your life.
What you have to do is, just return the enclosed “Registration
Form” at your earliest as per the instructions given in the circular.
In Darjeeling the Sterling
Resort is the only place where all the delegates can be accommodated
in one hotel. All other hotels have the capacity of a maximum of 20-30 rooms.
Moreover Sterling Resort is well known Luxury hotel hence we have decided
to have the seminar at Darjeeling. This is the same case with Gangtok also.
There is no hotel in Gangtok, which could accommodate all our delegates together.
Under the circumstances, we had to take more than one hotel in Gangtok. In
Gangtok the members will be accommodated in Hotel
Rendezvous and/or Hotel Chumbi
Residency and/or The Himalayan
Heights Hotel.
